Gecca Easy Chair

Bamboo has long been one of the traditional natural material in Japan for a wide variety of products and in construction. Focused on the unique aesthetic and functionality of this sustainable material, the designer implemented bamboo into the Gecca (lunar blossom) Collection. The carefully curved and constructed seat back gently supports the body, fully utilizing the springy characteristic of bamboo. The GECCA Collection won the Good Design Award in 2008.
