Hokore Pendant Light

"Hokore" ("in full bloom")is hand-made by artist Toshiyuki Tani using the delicate Suruga Sensuji bamboo ware techniques. Thousands of thin bamboo strips are used to create this piece.

Tani, the designer and crafter of this unique lighting, is a new generation of lighting designer whom is noted for his approach of implementing traditional woodcraft and bamboo-craft techniques into contemporary design, and his delicate sense of the interplay of light and shadow. Every piece is hand-crafted by the designer himself.
