KAI Sofa 1-Seater

The KAI Sofa is a more contemporary interpretation of the 1950s retro sofa style. The angle of inclination and and details are all carefully calculated in the deceptively simple design. This sofa collection is a great example of the exceptional craftsmanship of a maker started as an artisanal boat interior and furnishing workshop in Nagasaki, the oldest international port of Japan. They applied the know-hows developed over the years to make beautifully designed home furniture, using the Sendan (栴檀, Japanese bead-tree) timber harvested locally.
